Castlelyons GAA – Boys and Girls (Camogie)

Castlelyons GAA provides hurling and football for adults and young people in the parish. The club has a strong juvenile section, with teams and activities for children across a range of age groups.

Audience: Children and young people interested in hurling and football. Children from Junior Infants / primary school age upwards.

Venue: Castlelyons GAA grounds / Páirc an tAthair Peadar, Castlelyons. Some fixtures may take place at other venues.

St Nicholas Athletics Club

St Nicholas Athletics Club is a local athletics club based in Castlelyons, East Cork. The club provides opportunities for young athletes to get involved in running, athletics training and competition in a friendly club environment.

The club has a long history in the community and was originally founded in 1982.

South East Taekwon-Do

South East Taekwon-Do runs children’s Taekwon-Do classes in Castlelyons Community Hall. The classes help children build confidence, improve fitness and learn discipline in a friendly and structured environment.

The club is led by instructor Edward Dillon, a 4th Dan Black Belt with over 15 years’ teaching experience.

Audience: Children aged 4 years and above.

Schedule: 4–8 year olds: Tuesdays, 5:00pm to 5:45pm
9 years and above: Tuesdays, 5:45pm to 6:45pm

River Celtic FC – Boys & Girls Soccer

River Celtic FC welcomes boys and girls from Castlelyons, Rathcormac, Bartlemy and the surrounding areas who would like to get involved in soccer. The club currently has teams for boys born between 2009 and 2021, and girls born between 2014 and 2021.

Audience: Boys born 2009–2021 and girls born 2014–2021
